About Me
Hello there, I'm Juan Jose – a product and AI engineer with extensive experience and a passion for Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, and software engineering. I strive to create digital experiences that are both beautiful and useful. My mission is to build systems that help humanity to get rid of "work" and give back time to my product's users.
I have been working as a developer since 2009, in roles ranging from freelance and startup founder to full-time employee. I have worked in various industries, including hospitality, fintech, e-commerce, healthcare, and both sides of the staffing industry. My true expertise lies at the intersection of AI and product engineering, where I have created products used by hundreds of users and generated significant value for the companies I've worked for.

I craft robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems using Python, Django, Flask and Scala. Deep experience in building RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless applications, also with a strong focus on data integrations and data pipelines.
Natural Language Applications
I specialize in creating LLM-based applications, chatbots, and other NLP applications. I have experience in building and deploying models for text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, clustering, and more.
Artificial Intelligence
Besides the Natural Language Processing applications, I have worked on artificial intelligence systems design and architecture creation, making finetuning and destillation on multiple AI models, both LLM's, recommendation and expert systems.
